Day 1 - Your flight from the UK to Buenos Aires, arriving the next day

Day 2 - Arrive and transfer to the Hilton Buenos Aires for two nights offering time to explore Argentina's colourfull and vibrant capital city

Day 4 to day 5 - Fly south to Ushuaia, the worlds most southerly city. Two nights at hte First class Los Yamanas Hotel, located outside of the city with views over the Beagle Channel

Day 6 - Embarkation of the MV Atlantic Dream and evening departure from port

Day 7 to Day 8 - Cruise through the Drake Passage where the cold polar waters sink beneath the warmer waters of the more temperate zone

Day 9 - Visit to King George Island, the largest of the South Shetland Islands where you have the oppertunity to disembark at Potter bay. Continue to Aitcho Island

Day 10 - Land at Necko Bay, Your first stop on the Antartic mainland. As well as the spectacular scenery, there is also abundant wildlife to watch out for including blue-eyed Shags, cape petrals, weddell crabeaters, leopard seals, orcas and humpback whales. Much of the wildlife has no history of being hunted so is unafraid of human presence.

Day 11 - Sail through the dramatic cliffs of the Lemaire channel. Disembark at petermann Island, the southernmost point of your itinerary and home to colonies of Gentoo and Adelei Penguins. Zodiac ride to see the ice formations.

Day 12 - Head north to Paradise Bay whereagain there is time to explore the spectacular surroundings by Zodiac. In the evening visit the rocky Cuverville Island, an Island of dramatic scenery and home to a large Gentoo Penguin colony.

Day 13 - Sail onto Deception Island, the largest active volcano in the area where there is the oppertunity for a swim in the thermal waters.

Day 14 to day 15 - Return crossing of the Drake passage.

Day 16 - Disembark at Ushaia and return flight to Buenos Aires. Overnights at the Kempinski Park Central.

Day 17 - Overnight flight back to the UK.
